Senior Curriculum Designer

Dr. Geissy Araújo is Senior Curriculum Designer at Fluence, where she leads curriculum development for training programs in psychedelic-assisted therapy. A clinical psychologist, neuroscientist, and educator, her work bridges clinical practice, neuroscience, and the science of learning.

Geissy holds a Ph.D. in Neuroscience and a B.Sc. in Psychology and brings more than a decade of experience across clinical practice, education, and research. Her international background includes clinical research in Brazil, the United States, and Canada. At the Brain Institute at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte in Brazil, her work included clinical trials of mindfulness-based interventions and psychedelics, including an inhaled N,N-DMT trial for which she coordinated the development of the psychological support protocol. A certified mindfulness teacher, she has extensive experience developing and leading mindfulness-based programs, trainings, and retreats across clinical and contemplative settings.

As an educator, she translates complex clinical and scientific knowledge into practical learning experiences, integrating evidence-based practice and an understanding of how clinicians develop and retain complex skills. At Fluence, she brings these perspectives together to advance rigorous and clinically relevant training for the responsible integration of psychedelic therapies into mental health care.

Originally from Brazil, Geissy now lives in Western North Carolina, where she enjoys the nature, music, and food of the Appalachian Mountains. She is a runner, writer, and meditation practitioner, and finds some of her clearest thinking outdoors.
