Course Description:

This on-demand course offers mental health professionals a comprehensive introduction to ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP). Designed for licensed clinicians who want to understand how ketamine fits into modern mental health care, the course provides the clinical, pharmacological, ethical, and research context needed to engage with this rapidly evolving field responsibly.

The course moves through four structured sections: Foundations, Preparation, Administration, and Integration. Each section builds on the last, progressing from conceptual grounding through to the full KAP treatment arc. Topics include how ketamine works, screening and informed consent, set and setting, dosing session facilitation, supporting challenging experiences, integration practices, working with prescribers, and ethics in real clinical moments.

This is educational content designed to provide background knowledge and clinical orientation. It is not, on its own, clinical skills training.

How this course is organized:

The course moves through four sections, each building on the last:

  • Foundations. The clinical, pharmacological, ethical, and research context for KAP practice.

  • Preparation. Screening, consent, set and setting, expectations, intentions, and resourcing before dosing.

  • Administration. The structure and facilitation of dosing sessions, including supporting challenging experiences.

  • Integration. How to support clients in making meaning of their experience and sustaining long-term change.

What students have to say about our programs...

  • I really appreciate Fluence. The trainings and coursework, the literature shared, the community, self-development and insightful explorations have strengthened me as a professional and given such a sense of competence in this evolving space.

    Amy Johnson

    LCSW

  • I've been more than thrilled about my experience with Fluence thus far. I am a ketamine-assisted psychotherapist and

continue to learn more information and modalities to incorporate into my practice, from both the instructors and

    fellow students.

    LAURA HUTCHINS,

    LCMHC, LCAS, KAP Consulting

  • My entire experience with Fluence has been exceptional. The instructors are giants in the psychedelic field, many are active in clinical research and you will see their names in scientific publications.

    Stephanie Barss,

    FNP, PMHNP, Psilocybin-Assisted Therapy

    Certificate Program Advisor

  • The trainers at Fluence are what continually confirm that I am in the right place. The reverence and honor with which they approach their work is so evident. I have felt a sense of safety

at Fluence that is not present in other organizations I have

trained with or researched, and it is the trainers who create that safety.

    LPC specialist in Psychedelic Integration
