Presented by Kelan Thomas, PharmD, MS, BCPS, BCPP, Associate Professor & Psychiatric Pharmacist, Touro University California. This webinar introduces basic pharmacology concepts related to psilocybin, DMT (from ayahuasca), and MDMA. The lecture will describe how these serotonergic compounds affect the brain and why these biological changes may improve psychiatric symptoms. Potential safety concerns such as adverse effects and drug interactions are discussed.
